Darren Levine’s Krav Maga Tactical Training Tip of the Day

Handgun Threats from the Back/Side

Gun Threat, Hostage Position: Part 5 of 5

Step 4: Push the handgun forward. Immediately and sharply turn the handgun towards the right. This action will create immense pressure on the assailant’s wrist, creating the disarm. While shooting your hips back to further separate the assailant from the weapon, extend both arms forward to completely remove the assailant’s hand from the weapon.

Step 5: Turn and counterattack immediately before moving to a safe distance.
