Today, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm, we’ll be teaming up with the LAPD to support “Drew’s Voice” Anti-Bullying Foundation. We’ll be there at our booth, and demonstrating Krav Maga to the crowd. There will also be a car show, live music, vendors, and food and beer trucks too!

It’s gonna be a lot of fun. Come hang out with us!

Krav Maga Worldwide™ 2010 Instructor Appreciation Seminar

On November 13, 2010, Krav Maga Worldwide™ law enforcement, military, security and civilian instructors from all over the globe came together at the Santa Monica beach for a FREE seminar taught by Krav Maga Worldwide™ Force Training Division instructors.

The tactical-style training took place on the sand and in the ocean. It consisted of military style physical training as well as Basic and Advanced Krav Maga techniques. Participants were put into teams and given missions to complete as quickly as possible. During these missions they had to carry their teammates, completely submerse in the water, crawl in the sand, take down sentries, launch and breach the surf with a six person F470 Zodiac boat, paddle out into the ocean in their team boats all the while holding onto their weapons and having to be prepared to defend themselves.

The 6hours of training culminated with the final mission. It was “amazing, exciting, tiring, rewarding, full of camaraderie, sandy, salty and one of those days people talk about for days after and refer to for years to come.”

Krav Maga Worldwide™ Instructor Mitch Tavera Makes Chief of Police

Congratulations to Krav Maga Worldwide™ Instructor Mitch Tavera, who was officially made Chief of Police on March 31st, 2010 for the El Segundo Police Department!

Mitch Tavera is as popular, and liked among students and instructors, as he is vicious and deadly in the ring. Captain Tavera has been with Krav Maga Worldwide™ since the beginning and has brought tremendous knowledge and know-how to the organization and to the development of Krav Maga.

In addition, Mitch coaches several professional fighters, including John “the Bull” Marsh (Pride, UFC, IFL) and Krav Maga Worldwide™ Lead Instructor Marcus Kowal. Mitch holds a perfect record in Marcus’ corner with 11 wins and no losses.

Make sure you congratulate him or, better yet, take his KMW Training Centers™ Fight Class on Wednesday nights 6 pm or his Boxing Class at 8 pm!
